buying for non-business customers

No business can be all things to all customers, and Wetland Plants Inc. is no exception. We must reserve our focus for our core commercial customers.

We do, however, understand the frustration of well informed private people who know exactly which native wetland species they want, how many they want of each species, when they want them, and how to care for them, but who cannot find a retail nursery to purchase from. So we have provided a way for non-commercial citizens to purchase from us.

To place an order, first study our online inventory and make certain that the species will be available when you want them. Then request a quotation by filling out the form below and clicking the submit button. Do this at least 7 days before you wish to receive the plants.

We will reply with a quotation for any plants still available when we receive the form. This will normally be within one business day. We won’t attempt to provide substitutions or change quantities. If you accept the quotation, reply to it in the affirmative within 24 hours. We will change the quotation to an order and send you an invoice for the amount due. This invoice must be paid (using our secure online system) at least 4 days before you want to receive the plants. This allows time for order preparation and travel with UPS.

Sadly, we are unable to help non-commercial customers with plant selection, site analysis, or planting instructions. We wish we could, but to do so shortchanges our core customer base.


 
 

The genetic origin of our plants make them appropriate for projects in the medium and pale green (USDA Zone 7) and medium and pale tan (USDA Zone 8) areas of this map.

 

The Small Print

We are a business to business nursery, and are not set up to answer questions regarding typical garden or purely aesthetic applications for our plants. However if you are a retail customer who can tell us the name of the species you want in botanical Latin, we are happy to be your provider!

Availability must be confirmed before order is placed, as it changes daily and some species are forever in short supply.

Once you place an order you are obligated to pay for the plants, even if you subsequently find that you don’t need them. You are also obligated to pick up the plants or accept delivery within 30 days of the agreed-upon date.

When we start to prepare your order for shipping or pickup, we cannot reverse the process. Therefore if you change your mind in the 48 hours before your plants are scheduled to leave our facility you must still accept and pay for the plants.

Occasionally we have a crop failure. If this occurs we will work with you to find acceptable substitutes for the plants we cannot provide, provide the plants in alternate sizes, and/or find alternate providers for the plants. However we cannot be held responsible for any damages caused by our inability to provide the plants.

Payment in full is due 48 hours before plants are shipped, although established, reliable customers and those who have completed credit applications may be granted 30 day payment terms.
